Online Service for Sunday, July 23rd

July has another week to go and hopefully you got some great bargains at the Gi-Normous Yard Sale for the Lamb House. We will be having a Vacation Bible School this week so please see our church FaceBook page for details.

All are welcome to our service, today on Sunday, July 23rd at 10AM. Rev. Larry Zimmerman will be preaching. His sermon is titled, “Imperfect Servants”. This sermon is the first in a summer series about Old Testament servants of God. Our scripture reading will be Amos 7:7-15. Richard Elias will be our Liturgist. Amy Mathews will be streaming our service live on our church Facebook page. It is also available there to post at a later time. Those away this week (like me) appreciate this Amy.

Online Worship Service for Sunday, July 9, 2023

Welcome to the second full week of July. We made it through the 4th of July and our weather seems more seasonable. Less rain and more sunshine! :)! Remember our first church supper of 2023 is happening this week. Chicken Pot Pie is on the menu. Please come and join us for this delicious meal. We are also asking people to help as “many hands make for lighter work.”

All are welcome to join us this Sunday, July 9th for our 10AM service. Rev. Larry Zimmerman is taking off this Sunday. Members of our church will be leading our service.

Rev. Z left a message titled, “A Bit of Honey” that will be read. Our scripture reading comes from Matthew. 10:40-42 (NRSV) . Zack Gorrell will be our pianist. Amy Mathews will be streaming our service on our church Facebook page.

Hope everyone enjoyed Cherryfield Days this weekend. A thanks to all who ate at, worked at, or contributed food to our Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast. We had 70 people eat and sold a lot of baked goods. A good but tiresome Saturday. Hope everyone is enjoying summer! :)!

Bulletin for Sunday, June 18, 2023 – Father’s Day

The past week has brought the end of school for many students and teachers. Summer “officially” begins this Wednesday, June 21st at 10:58 AM! We also are celebrating Father’s Day this Sunday, June 18th. A “Big Thank You” to all the dads and those who have acted as dads for others.

It has been a rainy but cool week. The days are still getting longer and school is winding down for the year. It has been a week of graduations, school music concerts, and people enjoying long days and the nice season outdoors.

What a roller coaster ride of temperatures! 86 degrees on Thursday June 1st and 43 degrees on Saturday! I guess our one day of summer in Maine is over. Well, probably not!

The First Congregational Church will be having a “Green Eggs and Ham” Breakfast on Saturday, June 24th from 7AM to 9AM.
